Did you know that there is a language called Pepenza spoken at Tarkwa, and it is a member of the Western Guan Languages spoken in the Western Region?

Pepenza, together with Gwira, Anyin, Brosa, Ahanta, Nzema, Sefwi, form a continuum of languages in the Western Region closely related to one another. Pepenza and Gwira are closely related languages.

Also, Pepenza is spoken side by side Wassa in the Western Region thus, it has been greatly influenced by the Wassa-Twi language.
